Now that we are into 2014 – and a happy New Year by the way – I can reveal the gorgeous gifts I was making for the festive season – I’ve been wanting to do this for ages but didn’t want to spoil the surprise for the friends who were receiving the gifts!
I have long admired the beautiful (and free pattern) for Stripey Mitts on the lovely Cherry Heart Blog (thank you Sandra) and decided to make a couple of pairs for Christmas. I think they’ve turned out well.
Let’s hope the recipients liked them as much as I liked making them – I think they did!
Project number two was for a couple of hot water bottle covers. Now I scoured the net for patterns but did not have much success as they were all really specific to the type of hot water bottle, so in the end I made them up – not bad for a first effort!
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas – we certainly did – and I look forward to sharing my projects with you in 2014.
Take care,
Jane xx
Hello Jane
I have just stumbled across your blog and I have really enjoyed seeing all the lovely Christmas presents you made, as well as the sweet little bauble. Bit late to make now but I shall be getting on to that for Xmas 2014 !
Love the colourful hand warmers as well.
Happy New Year,
Kate

Thanks Vicky for your comment and for dropping by. I am glad the pictures helped! I have been very remiss with my blog over the summer and autumn but there just don't seem to be enough hours in the day! Too many projects to make and not enough time! Happy hooking. Jane x

Hi Marian. It is DMC USA Woolly, which I think originates from Australia but I got it in my local craft store as I had a problem finding it online. Gorgeous colours! Here is the Revelry link for more info http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/dmc-woolly. Thanks for dropping by. Jane x
