Holiday Part 2 – Our Hereford Yurt

Isn’t the English weather totally unpredictable! We left a rather damp Cornwall yesterday morning heading for Herefordshire. After a very boring traffic jam on the M5 for no apparent reason (isn’t that typical) we arrived at our second holiday destination at Midland Farm, which we booked via Canopy & Stars.

Set in the beautiful rural countryside just north west of Hereford our yurt is amazing and the sun came out to greet us on arrival!

Even though it is a glorified tent, it is beautifully decorated with a double and two twin beds in the main yurt

And a separate shepherd’s hut that houses the kitchen at one and and the bathroom at the other which for an outside arrangement I thought was top notch!

Once again, our view is stunning, looking towards the hills and a well known walk called The Cat’s Back, which we hope to attempt whilst here. After a lovely sausage casserole, ably prepared by Mr Hippy, it was off to bed, ready for a trip to the National Trust house at Berrington Hall, designed by Henry Holland with the grounds designed by Capability Brown. Ohh I do love a good NT house and I have to get my membership money back somehow! Then we’re planning a trip to the food lover’s town of Ludlow which is just over the border in Shropshire. See you later.
