Ta Dah – Baby Blanket Finished

Normally when on holiday you are annoyed when the sun doesn’t shine. Not yesterday though – it was blustery and wet and gave me the perfect opportunity to finish my baby blanket – two months in the making!

And I have to say I am rather pleased, with how it has turned out! Not quite the pattern I was originally following from my Cute and Easy Crochet but with a bit of fiddling around it is how I wanted it to be.

Progress on this project can be found here and here and once I’d finished the squares I then added two extra rounds of double crochet before fitting together and joining using rows of single crochet.

Then I added three rounds of border – two in dc and the middle in dc clusters of three and voila – finished. I just hope my cousin likes it!

I had plenty of yarn left over so whipped up a pair of booties which I got from a free pattern on Ravelry by a lady called Hayley Missingham. These are so cute!

My project with even more photos is on my Ravelry page here if you are interested.

Now I’ve finished one project I can start another, or two, or three ………
